It has just been announced that Putin personally ordered the hacking of the DNC and other US institutions in order to a) place as much negative light on the Clinton campaign as possible and therefore b) raise up the Trump campaign. The best Trump could say after his briefing earlier Friday, is that no voting machines were hacked and that other countries, including China also want to hack the United States. He also said that none of this influenced the final election outcome. We will never know of course. The hacking of the DNC certainly kept the Clinton campaign on the defensive. And given the low margin of victory for Trump in certain states, there is the realm of possibility that somehow all this negative news did tilt the election in Trumps favour. Or. perhaps it didn’t make much difference. All this is simply speculation. What we do know however is that Russia, under Putin’s order tried to help him win. That alone should be enough for Trump to say that he will defend all Americans. Even those that disagree with him. Instead the best we get is that none of this affected the outcome of the election. I told a friend of mine today that I have no intention of giving Trump the benefit of the doubt. I have written about this befor. I wish him well, for all our sakes, but don’t expect me to cut him any slack. He will not change. He will keep making things up to make himself look good. Even today he showed a total lack of grace towards Arnold Schwarzenegger when he Tweeted how lame the new version of The Apprentice is without Trump at the helm. As usual it is all about him. We have elected a sociopath. Don’t believe me? Look it up.
